Title: Flexographic Press Operator         

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for keeping the press up and running. Be a backup press operator, rewinder and shrink wrap. Perform other tasks as assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:

  • Perform make-ready functions
  • Follow information from job tickets and prepare press accordingly
  • Enter all activities into computer for job tracking and cost accounting
  • Mount plates
  • Pull dies, inks, and cylinders for all jobs on the press schedule over the next 24 hours.
  • Mix ink and make corrections to meet customer specs.
  • Perform press wash-up and clean-up procedures
  • Perform press maintenance
  • Have full knowledge of all phases of label production.
    • Press capabilities
    • Finishing capabilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized production floor that is safe for all employees.
  • Be available to work with customers when necessary.
  • Assist the management staff on special projects.
  • Any other responsibilities requested by the production management staff

Must have:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a pressman is required

  • Preferred knowledge of four-color process work
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to lift 50lb
  • Ability to use hand pallet jack
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.
